Low hour, great running 182P for the price of a 172. Please watch the full video of this plane to see everything including performance in flight. This is a beautiful, original 1975 Cessna 182P that has been owned by one gentleman for over 40 years. A rare find. The plane was hangared in the upper midwest its entire life, very low airframe hours - only 2340. All logs since new, no damage history. Skylane II package with extra features from the factory. Nice shiny paint. You will see a few small paint chips but no corrosion, hail or any other damages to the exterior. All glasses are in clean condition. I really like the interior design; it’s in really nice condition. Very comfortable seats for long cross country flights. Both front seats have 2 way adjustments. If you see a plane in this nice, original condition, it means the owner actually cared about the plane and maintained it. For me, the condition of an airplane and how it's been maintained matters the most because a clean, well maintained airplane usually gives you the best, trouble free, low cost experience for a long time. We did a prebuy; all compressions in the 70’s. 1300 hours on the Continental O-470 6 cylinder engine. This engine runs smoother with less vibration and fatigue for longer trips. They are good engines; if properly maintained I’ve seen them running around 2200hrs without doing any major work. Opened the panels of the airplane and the inside is very close to new looking, no corrosion. Cables, pulleys, everything in very good condition. Useful load of 1130lbs. That allows you to carry 4 passengers. Long-range 80 gallon tanks can take you 800 miles. You can fly 144 knots. (Watch the video to see how it flies). With a ceiling of 17,700ft you can fly above the weather & over mountains. One of the things I like is the climb performance. It can outclimb many other planes. It can take off in only 700ft. (You’ll see in the video that this plane took off in just a few hundred feet and climbed at 1200-1400ft per minute.) Landing roll is only 590ft. You can use any short or grass field, fly back country or use on floats; there are so many things you can do with a 182P. Many people will sell their plane when maintenance is due; we usually do all the necessary maintenance before we sell. 182P has fuel bladders and the original bladders tend to get weak after a few decades and you have to replace them. This plane has had both bladders replaced. Right bladder was replaced before and we just installed a new left bladder. We also installed ADS-B out Tanis engine preheater. It’s very important to have on cold days so you can plug in the engine before you start. Cold starts will wear down the engine unnecessarily. Cessna 182 P and Q models are in very high demand. They are versatile airplane planes that keep increasing the value. I really liked flying this plane, it was a joy to fly. Starts right up, a lot of power, very stable and smooth. It is hard to find Cessna 182’s. It is rare to find a 182 in this good condition for the price of a 172.
