You have a rare opportunity to own this plane for a fraction of the cost of a newer plane with a similar appearance. The plane flies very well. It’s something you can be proud to own and take family and friends in. This plane also has the 6 most important things a plane should: 1. It's a Midwest plane so no coastal corrosion 2. All logs since new 3. No damage history 4. Clear history. Not flight school history 5. Owned and flown by experienced pilots 6. Flies very nice and looks fantastic 2 years ago we bought this plane. Fully renovated it. Flew it over 75 hours. (The video has all the details of what we did in the process and a flight too.) Before we bought the plane it hadn't flown for a number of years. Owner did run the engine on the ground to keep it in good shape. Engine has excellent compression 79 76 78 78. Oil analysis was fine. This engine, Lycoming E2D is one of the main reasons the 172M model is the most desired 172 model. These engines, when maintained properly, run 3000-3500 hours before needing an overhaul. It has a Tanis electric pre-heater installed so you can avoid cold starts which damage the engine. During the refurbishment we replaced older parts with many new components. Most of them were not necessary but we tend to overdo it when it comes to maintenance. Complete strip and paint was done with high quality materials. New carpet. New windshield and rear glass. New leather upholstery. Cessna 172M are about 45 years old. Good thing about refurbished planes like this is that they have many new parts which make it a better plane. This 172M has camber lift wings for better slow flight handling. Long range fuel tanks. 49 gallons so you can fly long distances. Plane burns only 6-7 gallon per hour. Very economical. The plane is ADS-B out compliant so you can fly in any airspace and to any airport without restriction. Detailed, fresh annual was just completed. All gauges are very clean. Garmin audio panel and 4 place intercom. Dual digital NAV/COMM radios are very helpful. They are easy to dial. Easy to read. Predial the frequencies in standby to reduce the workload. Dual VOR and CDI indicators are a necessity for IFR flight or training. Panel mounted iPad is a very nice feature. You have navigation, in-flight weather and live traffic. With Foreflight it is like a mini glass cockpit. Synthetic vision is very useful for flying in the right seat. It’s a safety backup in case of an instrument failure. Also a learning tool on how to fly a glass panel. I flew about 75 hours in this plane. I really like it. Starts every time and runs very well. This plane got attention wherever I travelled. I had some flights on very cold days. Cabin heater works very well. As you can see in the video the plane can fly hands free. It is a very nice 172M for a very reasonable price in today's market.
