  Description

We hardly come across a 70s-80s plane with all the things in this Archer. Freshly overhauled engine and propeller with only 9 hours. Brand new interior. Updated avionics, Just completed, detailed annual. IFR certified and current. All logs, no accidents. All the upgrades in this plane cost about $78,000 and would take around one year to complete. Besides a few things, it is not too far from what comes with a new Piper which costs half a million dollars. (Please watch the full video including flight of this plane) Freshly overhauled engine in this plane is a 180HP Lycoming O360-A4M. The same engine that is in the 2022 Archer. Propeller was also overhauled at the same time. Only 9 hours and still completing the break-in flights. This process costs about $32,000 and takes around 6 months nowadays. Brand new interior. Seats are 2 tone with Piper colors embedded. All panels follow the same theme. Brand new carpet as well. The interior not only feels like a new plane, it also feels spacious with the light, elegant colors. One unique feature I really like is that both rear seats can be removed and installed in seconds without any tools to make a large cargo area. I like a clean panel in a plane. Most importantly a digital engine monitor. It provides all important information about the engine and fuel. You can extend the life of the engine since you can manage it better with that information. Also saves fuel and allows for easy troubleshooting of any anomalies. The entire center stack of avionics have been upgraded with a later model audio panel, Garmin 420 (which you can upgrade to the latest GTN-650 for a lower cost as an exchange upgrade), ADS-B in and out so not only can you fly without restrictions of airspace, you have free traffic and weather displayed in the panel mounted display. I’ve found this is extremely helpful and improves safety. Plane also has a digital NAV/COMM. Two upgraded indicators for instrument flights. Panel mounted display provides all information. Autopilot is not the latest model and I found it is not very precise, but it does its job. Exterior is in very good condition. No major damages. I noticed on a closer look a few dings which hardly noticeable but would like to mention. This Archer has short takeoff and landing distances of 720ft and 635ft respectively. So you can operate on short runways and grass strips Nice flying airplane. Fast for a fixed gear, single engine, 4 place airplane. You will see in the video of the plane - during flight at 4500ft we increased the power to the maximum cruise. It was a surprise that the plane actually reached the yellow line speed - a faster speed than the airplane manual says you should expect. The freshly overhauled engine producing full power and a little lighter weight may be the reason. Archer is an economical plane to fly and own. Fairly easy plane to fly; stable and predictable which makes it a good IFR airplane. Controls are somewhat lighter than other low wing airplanes so it's easy to handle. Good overall performance as well. The plane can fly over 14,000ft. Max speed of 148 mph. Can fly around 600 miles. Carry 4 people. Large cargo capacity. Short takeoff and landing distances of 720ft and 635ft respectively. So you can operate on short runways and grass strips. Since it burns 7-10 gallons per hour it is a very economical plane to own and fly. Low insurance rates as well. It is a very popular plane and Piper is still making them. If you add a newer paint theme and update to a full glass panel with something like the cost-effective Garmin G3X and a few other things then this plane would have the feel and performance similar to a new plane for a quarter of the price. Plane is located in our Knox, Indiana branch (KOXI). Please contact us if you have any questions and please make sure to watch the video. 5 things 1. The video play icon   I want to trade my aircraft with this 1974 PIPER PA-28-180

AeroLife Aviation were very forthright and most accommodating to me in the purchase process. The entire process was smooth and efficient.

I really enjoyed dealing with Megan @ AeroLife Aviation during the purchase of this Cessna 182P. They delivered a plane that met every expectation as advertised. They held nothing back by providing all log's, AD's, & 337's for our review. Then upon inspection absolutely nothing was found not previously disclosed. I have purchased a really nice airplane thanks to Megan and her team.

- Tom A.

I will never be able to express my total gratitude and appreciation to Megan for her extremely professional, capable, friendly, honest, cleaver, resourceful, and experienced expertise! She not only helped me navigate the risky and sometimes stressful path to aircraft ownership, but spent numerous hours educating and helping me make the right decision in upgrades and other significant factors in the aircraft purchase. I am very impressed and totally trust Megan and Aerolife Aviation to satisfy all my future trade in and aircraft purchases. In fact, I will only deal with Aerolife Aviation and Megan from now on! A thousand thank you’s Megan! You made this happen!

- Patrick S.

I have been watching Megan do YouTube videos on aircraft for sale. She does such thorough reviews on the planes the previous owner could usually learn something about their old plane. You can imagine my pleasure when I saw a video about a 182 that I was actively interested in buying. When I got to see the plane in person it was exactly as described. Then AeroLife Aviation helped me with the training I needed and arranged for some routine maintenance I requested. Everything was above and beyond my high expectations. Thank you Megan and AeroLife Aviation

As first-time aircraft buyers, we felt in excellent hands with Megan at Aerolife. From the first moment of contact with her to the time we picked up our 1973 Cessna 177 Cardinal in Minnesota, Megan made the experience smooth, straight-forward and transparent. Megan went out of her way to explain specific technical questions we had, helped with recommendations on inspection items, arranged CFIs to get checked out and was available throughout the process to reassure and guide us through the logistics of the purchase process. We would definitely purchase from Aerolife Aviation in the future and wholeheartedly recommend the company, and especially Megan as an honest, fair and trustworthy airplane broker with top-notch customer service.

- Birgit, Henry and Kurt

This is the third aircraft I have purchased in my lifetime so I can say from experience this was my best buying experience by far. I have complete confidence in Aerolifes business model of how Aerolife will acquire an aircraft then thoroughly and professionally inspect the airplane then fix or replace what ever needs done if any to prepare that aircraft to sell. No smoke and mirrors, they are very upfront and forward in regards to any imperfections with your new plane. I recently purchased a beautiful Cessna 182Q and couldn’t be happier with my plane and how Megan and her team helped guide me though the transfer of my last plane and purchase of my new 182Q. I really enjoyed getting to meet Megan and all the super friendly folks up in Fergus Falls MN when I went up to fly my new plane for the first time. Overall excellent experience.

- Ray P.

Great buying experience with Megan. Plane was exactly as described and we could not be more pleased with our purchase.

- Brad Rentz

Very easy to work with Aerolife and very accommodating, and knowledgeable. In a fast pace aggressive market for these planes they simplify buying process using DocuSign and knowing plenty of folks in industry to assist in the process if required.

- Travis Wisniewski

Aerolife is a great company to work with. They are very accommodating and provide great service that makes the buying experience both smooth and pleasurable.

- Mitch

Aerolife Aviation was great to deal with. Megan handled the buying process well from providing the paperwork, to getting the plane delivered to a mechanic for inspection, and arranging the plane to be delivered to Alabama. I think the plane looks great and I am very happy with the purchase.
