  Description

(Please watch the detailed video of this 172 in the video section on this page right below the main image) Although this looks like any other 172, this has an updated avionics package that you’d rarely find in a 172. It is about $42,000 in upgrades including the latest Garmin avionics and even an autopilot. These avionics actually make flying it safer and lower the pilot workload. This plane is a great IFR platform and can be used for instrument training. Hangared in the Midwest, all logs since new, not registered to a flight school. Owned by an airline pilot. Original paint in decent condition. Some paint chips but no corrosion. Clean airframe, no hail or damages. No damage history. Our Mechanic did a pre-buy inspection and he was very satisfied with the condition of the plane. We flew this plane on a night flight, controls are very smooth; flies straight. That’s an indication of a well maintained plane. Lycoming e2d engine is one of the best ever built. This 172k has the same engine as 172M, only a few minor differences. About 1085 hours since overhaul where they did an engine tear down and internal inspection. Installed new bearings and parts, cylinders honed (since cylinders were not replaced it cannot be called a major overhaul). 1530 Since Factory Reman. Very good compression: 78, 75, 75, 78. Very clean engine, no leaks and runs very smooth. Updated LED landing light. New tires. Clean glasses overall, rear a little less clear. Very clean interior; an indication of a well cared for and maintained airplane. Leather seats, wool fabric inserts, 3 point safety harness. Clean carpets, plastic & headliner in nice condition. D10 glass attitude indicator (like Garmin G5 but more information). Like a mini PFD; displays all main gauge information for reference. I like how it displays wind direction and speed in real-time. Good to help learn glass panels. Upgraded Garmin CDI’s with glide slope and secondary CDI for instrument flights. Digital Fuel scan 450. Very useful especially for long flights. Shows fuel flow, used and remaining fuel. You can also save a lot of fuel by leaning properly. Helps not to overlean and run hot which is not good for the engine. Completely upgraded Garmin stack in the center including: Garmin 430 WAAS GPS/NAV/COMM. Shows terrain and traffic which is very useful in flight. Garmin GTX 345 transponder. Most advanced transponder. Costs around 7200 to install. ADS-B in and out. Bluetooth so you have real time weather and traffic in Foreflight or other apps. This airplane even has a single access autopilot. It is very useful when you need to take your hands off the yoke for a bit. It can be a lifesaver if you end up from VFR in IMC or during hard IMC flights. Almost all these extra features are upgrades and not available in standard 172’s. These electronics cost over $42,000 to install. They make a huge difference in safe flying. It is hard to find a 172 with these features. Well maintained, great running airplane with very useful upgrades. 6 things we can do for you... 1. Transport anywhere in USA for low cost 2. Arrange prebuy with local mechanic or bring yours here 3. Arrange to look at it on weekends also - if you schedule ahead 4. Give free 5 hour type training with CFI if you need 5. Help you to find financing & insurance 6. The video play icon   I want to trade my aircraft with this 1969 CESSNA 172K

This is the third aircraft I have purchased in my lifetime so I can say from experience this was my best buying experience by far. I have complete confidence in Aerolifes business model of how Aerolife will acquire an aircraft then thoroughly and professionally inspect the airplane then fix or replace what ever needs done if any to prepare that aircraft to sell. No smoke and mirrors, they are very upfront and forward in regards to any imperfections with your new plane. I recently purchased a beautiful Cessna 182Q and couldn’t be happier with my plane and how Megan and her team helped guide me though the transfer of my last plane and purchase of my new 182Q. I really enjoyed getting to meet Megan and all the super friendly folks up in Fergus Falls MN when I went up to fly my new plane for the first time. Overall excellent experience.

- Ray P.

AeroLife Aviation were very forthright and most accommodating to me in the purchase process. The entire process was smooth and efficient.

- Michael S.

Megan was very thorough and professional. We thought the process went very smooth. Enjoyed working through the process. Many Thanks

- Bob & John

I will never be able to express my total gratitude and appreciation to Megan for her extremely professional, capable, friendly, honest, cleaver, resourceful, and experienced expertise! She not only helped me navigate the risky and sometimes stressful path to aircraft ownership, but spent numerous hours educating and helping me make the right decision in upgrades and other significant factors in the aircraft purchase. I am very impressed and totally trust Megan and Aerolife Aviation to satisfy all my future trade in and aircraft purchases. In fact, I will only deal with Aerolife Aviation and Megan from now on! A thousand thank you’s Megan! You made this happen!

- Patrick S.

I really enjoyed dealing with Megan @ AeroLife Aviation during the purchase of this Cessna 182P. They delivered a plane that met every expectation as advertised. They held nothing back by providing all log's, AD's, & 337's for our review. Then upon inspection absolutely nothing was found not previously disclosed. I have purchased a really nice airplane thanks to Megan and her team.

- Tom A.

Aerolife is a great company to work with. They are very accommodating and provide great service that makes the buying experience both smooth and pleasurable.

- Mitch

As first-time aircraft buyers, we felt in excellent hands with Megan at Aerolife. From the first moment of contact with her to the time we picked up our 1973 Cessna 177 Cardinal in Minnesota, Megan made the experience smooth, straight-forward and transparent. Megan went out of her way to explain specific technical questions we had, helped with recommendations on inspection items, arranged CFIs to get checked out and was available throughout the process to reassure and guide us through the logistics of the purchase process. We would definitely purchase from Aerolife Aviation in the future and wholeheartedly recommend the company, and especially Megan as an honest, fair and trustworthy airplane broker with top-notch customer service.
