Best Citation 550 you can buy for the price. (Please watch the video, they're considered the best aircraft reviews with almost 2 million views of my channel.) Lots of time left on both engines, nice paint and luxury interior, hard to find 11 seat arrangement, belted lavatory seat with privacy curtain, Gross weight upgrade allows higher 6450lb payload. Long range of 2300 miles. All major 1-5 phase inspections recently completed, maintained to strict FAA supervised Part 135 standards. Professionally flown. Garmin avionics upgrade, LED lights, freon AC upgrade, speed brakes. Rare to find all in a Citation below one million. Most aircraft for sale in this range have expensive maintenance coming due or low engine times remaining. I've flown this plane close to the ceiling, it's very economical. Using only 650 to 800 lbs at altitude. Please watch the full detailed video including the flight, performance, comparison and especially the 12 most important facts buyers need to consider when buying a jet. Performance Citation 550 cruises just under 400 knots; max operating speed of Mach 0.7. Carries up to 11. Max range of 2000nm. Ceiling of 43,000ft. Landing roll only 3000 and take off roll about 3000-3400ft so can operate on shorter runways. Engines have 5000 lbs of thrust, climb rate over 3000ft/min and even single engine climb of 1000ft/min, flight into known icing certified, RVSM certified and equipped. One of the highest production lines. Solid & reliable. Great design and success of these models means they continue the Citation production still today. Engines Engine times are the most important in a jet. Engines have 1000 and 875 hours left until overhaulm a lot for a jet since it takes only 8 hours to fly across the continent. One engine is almost new, only 2475 hours since new; very rare and a great advantage. Price adjusted value for a new engine would be around a million dollars today. JT15D-4 medium bypass engine for balanced power and economy. A reputation of robust reliability. Both have upgraded, on condition blades to reduce cost and labor time. I prefer without thrust reversers. It reduces maintenance cost and expenses and adds 300-400lbs of useful load. Even without speed brakes or heavy braking the plane can land on shorter runways. Good availability, you can exchange the engines when time for overhaul, which is low cost and faster. Exterior Nice looking airplane with newer paint theme in good condition. Kept in climate controlled hangar. LED lights upgrade cost $5000-6000 but helps to save frequent bulb burn out and 24hr wait time before flight (see the video). Almost new tires and good brakes. Full FIKI equipment. Baggage capacity 2 exterior baggage compartments. Rear has 73–77 cubic feet of space and 500 lbs capacity. Front nose has 15.6 cu ft of space and 350lbs capacity. Internally is another with 300lbs capacity totaling 1150lbs. Interior Larger cabin for this class of jet. 278 cubic feet of space. Beautiful interior, rare 9 passenger arrangement; with pilots you can carry 11. Light color two tone seats with adjustments. Foldable tables, windows with shades. Interior panels in excellent condition. Center seats have storage between them. Plenty of legroom. Quiet and comfortable. Each seat has adjustable vents and lights. Upgraded electric Keith air conditioning for comfort can also run on the ground without engines running. Video has details. Avionics Standard Citation panel with good autopilot. Upgraded Garmin avionics: GTN 725 navigator and dual Garmin transponders. These upgrades cost around $125,000. RVSM equipped. Easy to fly. Maintenance If I had the option, I would always prefer Part 135 maintained airplanes like this one. Maintained to Part 135 standards which are much stricter than 91. It's FAA supervised maintenance. I recently had an inspection with 3 FAA Inspectors going through all logs and aircraft. Phases 1-5 done mid-2025. History Previous owner had the plane for decades. Hangar kept, professionally flown with FAA supervised and trained pilots. No factor but I like to mention that 37 years ago it had a minor ground incident on the ramp. Was repaired by the Cessna factory. I didn't have any concern since it was very long ago and when the Cessna factory repaired they made it better than original quality with newer parts. Pilots CE500 type rating covers 11 different models, the largest pool of qualified pilots available. Great Jet for a lower price. I can arrange inspection, send you digital logs, CAMP reports to see maintenance and upcoming items and can arrange transport after the purchase. Also help to get a very good insurance rate.
