  Description

Hard to find, clean Midwest plane with only 115 hours on the engine. Around $11,000 in upgraded avionics and features. This extremely low hour engine is worth a lot, an engine overhaul costs $20,000. If you consider the value of the engine and the cost of the upgrades, our asking price is very fair and low compared to others. (There are 9 important facts to consider when looking to buy an older, low cost plane. I made a detailed video for YouTube. It’s available at the top of this page. I think it would be very helpful for anyone) We got this plane as a trade. We do detailed inspections and necessary maintenance on our planes before selling. Nothing major on this plane. Flew several times to check all functions and had fun landing in the grass. Plane starts right up and flies very nicely. Paint is better than most other 150s. Clean glass which is an indication of a hangared airplane. I've noticed a very few minor dings on close examination in the airframe. Other than that, the airframe is in very good condition. There are many important upgrades in the plane. Older radios can be unreliable. This has a newer digital radio and upgraded transponder. 2 place intercom connector so both occupants have communication. Also has ADS-B out installed. So you can fly the plane in any airspace and into any airport without restriction. Plane has upgraded LED landing light. They’re much brighter and very useful in night landings. I keep it on even in the day time in busy areas for safety so others can spot the plane. Upgraded push button start and light weight starter. All 4 cylinder CHT gage - important to manage the engine properly. These upgrades cost $10,000-$11,000. Interior is in clean condition. Nice sheepskin seat covers are very comfortable, you see these in high end planes like Cessna Citation jets. Original seats have some seams coming loose. You’d never notice unless you remove the covers but we want to mention anything we notice. Plane has Continental O-200-A 100HP 4 cylinder carbureted engine. Engine has only 115 hours. Even though these low hours are great, since the overhaul was in 2007 we did a complete inspection to make sure of the condition. Excellent compressions (I’ve updated the photos for you to see). Boroscope internal inspection came clean. Checked the filter and also sent an oil sample to analyze to see the internal condition. Report came clean as well. Engine starts right up and performs very well. Cessna 150 is considered one of the best small airplanes. Great trainer or time builder. Also a very good commuter airplane for 2 people. One of the most economical ways to travel. Even with high fuel prices it cost only around $25 per hour in fuel. Plane has very decent performance. You can fly 600 miles. Can operate in many mountain areas with the ceiling of 15,600 ft. Cruise speed is 125 miles per hour using only 6 gallons of fuel per hour. With larger wings, great slow flight characteristics and low stall speed it is a safe plane as well. Plane needs only 680ft of runway to take off and 360ft for landing. So you can fly in any small airport or even backcountry locations. Don't have the very early logs, but we do have logs for the last 32 years. We did a title search and no accidents reported. No liens or loans. We have all logs for the current engine since it was overhauled which is the most important I think. Great little plane. Probably the lowest time engine in the market today. Also very useful upgrades. Please feel free to contact us with any questions 5 things we do: 1. Arrange a prebuy with a local mechanic or accommodate yours 2. Transport anywhere in USA for low cost 3. Arrange to look at it on weekends also - if you schedule ahead 4. Provide free 5-hour training with CFI if you need 5. Help you find financing & insurance

Aerolife is a great company to work with. They are very accommodating and provide great service that makes the buying experience both smooth and pleasurable.

This is the third aircraft I have purchased in my lifetime so I can say from experience this was my best buying experience by far. I have complete confidence in Aerolifes business model of how Aerolife will acquire an aircraft then thoroughly and professionally inspect the airplane then fix or replace what ever needs done if any to prepare that aircraft to sell. No smoke and mirrors, they are very upfront and forward in regards to any imperfections with your new plane. I recently purchased a beautiful Cessna 182Q and couldn’t be happier with my plane and how Megan and her team helped guide me though the transfer of my last plane and purchase of my new 182Q. I really enjoyed getting to meet Megan and all the super friendly folks up in Fergus Falls MN when I went up to fly my new plane for the first time. Overall excellent experience.

- Ray P.

Great buying experience with Megan. Plane was exactly as described and we could not be more pleased with our purchase.

- Brad Rentz

Aerolife Aviation was great to deal with. Megan handled the buying process well from providing the paperwork, to getting the plane delivered to a mechanic for inspection, and arranging the plane to be delivered to Alabama. I think the plane looks great and I am very happy with the purchase.

- Randy S.

Megan was very thorough and professional. We thought the process went very smooth. Enjoyed working through the process. Many Thanks

- Bob & John

I will never be able to express my total gratitude and appreciation to Megan for her extremely professional, capable, friendly, honest, cleaver, resourceful, and experienced expertise! She not only helped me navigate the risky and sometimes stressful path to aircraft ownership, but spent numerous hours educating and helping me make the right decision in upgrades and other significant factors in the aircraft purchase. I am very impressed and totally trust Megan and Aerolife Aviation to satisfy all my future trade in and aircraft purchases. In fact, I will only deal with Aerolife Aviation and Megan from now on! A thousand thank you’s Megan! You made this happen!

Very easy to work with Aerolife and very accommodating, and knowledgeable. In a fast pace aggressive market for these planes they simplify buying process using DocuSign and knowing plenty of folks in industry to assist in the process if required.

- Travis Wisniewski

Aerolife Aviation made the purchase of our 182 P an easy and stress free transaction. Megan was extremely helpful in answering all of the MANY questions we had before, during and after the purchase process. Aerolife was very professional and honest regarding the aircraft. Megan was easy to work with. She handled all the purchase details and even arranged delivery of our airplane. We highly recommend Aerolife.

- Lynn and Glen

AeroLife Aviation were very forthright and most accommodating to me in the purchase process. The entire process was smooth and efficient.

- Michael S.

I have been watching Megan do YouTube videos on aircraft for sale. She does such thorough reviews on the planes the previous owner could usually learn something about their old plane. You can imagine my pleasure when I saw a video about a 182 that I was actively interested in buying. When I got to see the plane in person it was exactly as described. Then AeroLife Aviation helped me with the training I needed and arranged for some routine maintenance I requested. Everything was above and beyond my high expectations. Thank you Megan and AeroLife Aviation
